Skiing in Val di Sole: slopes for every taste
If you visit Val di Sole for skiing, you have a choice of four resorts, which together form the largest ski resort in western Trentino. During your holidays near Madonna di Campiglio, you can choose between:
- the Folgarida-Marilleva ski area which – thanks to the connection “Ski a piedi” between the ski areas Madonna di Campiglio and Pinzolo – offers the possibility to use a total of 150 km of connecting slopes accessible with only one lift pass in the Campiglio/Dolomiti di Brenta/Val di Sole/Val Rendana ski area with 150 slope kilometres and 62 lifts in the heart of the Brenta Dolomites
- the Pontedilegno/Passo Tonale ski area with slopes on the Presena glacier at 3,000 metres
- the Pejo 3000 ski area in the Stelvio national park with slopes suitable for families and children as well as for more experiences skiers
The perfect location of the Tevini – Dolomites Charming Hotel in Commezzadura makes for a convenient access of cable cars and ski lifts, also thanks to the private shuttle bus. In the immediate vicinity of our hotel you find a ski school, various ski hires, and a cross-country ski rund. Once you have reached the mountain sation of the ropeway, you find the Quota 2045, a refuge which makes for an ideal place to take a break, lunch, or a snack. The restaurant is easily reachable and open for all, skier or not. So all you need to think about is getting the lift pass for Val di Sole, and the fun can begin!
Snowshoeing excursions
During a snowshoeing excursion you can experience winter nature at its most authentic. Far from the hustle and bustle of the ski resorts, you have the possibility to walk on pristine snow, immerse yourself in the silence of the woods, discover the tracks of the wild life, and admire magical sceneries. The 150 km of marked trails in Val di Sole are divided into 19 tracks of various length and level of difficulty. If you prefer to walk together with an experienced guide, you can participate in a variety of guided hikes, organised by the local ski and mountaineering schools.
Beside snowshoeing excursions, the surroundings of our hotel in Val di Sole offer numerous possibilities for non-skiers: enjoy a day tobogganinig in the family park of the Folgarida-Marilleva resort, a horse sleigh ride, the sled dogs or adog sled ride, or try ice skating in one of the stadiums or in the ice skating centres of the valley.
